Elizabeth Chambers

For nearly five years, Elizabeth Chambers traveled throughout Korea, Europe and the Middle East. Elements of Arabic, Persian, Indian, and Chinese arts can be found in her work. She combines the colors, patterns and forms absorbed from these ancient cultures. Very often she is surprised to see a tiny corner of a mosque or cathedral emerging in one of her works. Elizabeth Chambers' art jewelry combines handmade ceramic beads, gem stones, crystals and other unique beads to create jewelry for those who prefer wearable art. Her designs boldly combine colors and textures that appeal to a discerning eye.

Elizabeth's study of the ceramic arts began upon her return to the United States in the early 1990's at the Foelber Gallery and at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts' Glassell School. Psychedelic posters from the 1960's, the repeating patterns of M C Escher and the vibrant colors of Van Gogh fired her imagination at an early age. Elizabeth believes that artwork emerges as emotional impressions.
